2009-11-06 - A new social object for the ABB Diving Team.
Last year, thanks to free contributions, the "seeling" of the team cards and other offers coming from different activities, the ABB Diving Team collected a small sum of money which, on behalf of all team members and with the support of the Italian NGO NPH - Fondazione Francesca Rava, has been destined to the distance adoption of Johana Patricia, a child living in San Ana orphanage in El Salvador.
NPH is active in El Salvador since more than 6 years, building San Ana Home orphanage, now completed, and kicking off a number of activities aimed at granting sustenance to children hosted in San Ana.
ABB Italy support to NPH project in El Salvador dates back to 2002 when the Company helped NPH in buiding the orphanage by supplying some of its products, electrical equipment and funds.
In 2008, thanks to the funds raised on the occasion of the Company's internal climate survey ABBiamo Voce, ABB Italy has supported the buinding of a bakery and the training of some of the orphanage guests on how to make bread and run the bakery.
The ABB Diving Team thanks all members who have helped reaching our first charity target.
For 2009 the ABB Diving Team plans to realize a wonderful t-shirt bearing an embroidered team logo. T-shirts will be sold to raise money to support Johana Patricia for one more year and, if possible, to extend support to more children.
We are sure team members will once more help us in making this a new ABB Diving Team success!!
