ABB factory celebrates 10 years of success in Xinhui

Reliable low voltage products benefit Chinese customers

Xinhui, China, November 16, 2005 - ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, today celebrates the 10-year anniversary of ABB Xinhui Low Voltage Switchgear Co., Ltd.

Located in Jiangmen of South China’s Guangdong Province, ABB Xinhui Low Voltage Company Ltd. is China’s first joint venture company producing low voltage moulded case circuit breaker. With a continued focus on product diversification, the company has expanded its product range to include automatic transfer switches and a new generation of pilot devices as well as enclosures, contactors and other low voltage apparatus. Among the products the new generation of pilot devices developed by the company will be used around the world.

With 70 percent of its employees and top five of its suppliers coming from Jianmen area, the company has established a strong local presence, which benefits the local economy. It has been honored the titles of the “New and Advanced Technology Company” and the “Significant Contributor to Taxation” by the governments at the provincial and municipal level.

The increased local purchase and good cooperation with its Chinese partners enable the company to generate a competitive advantage for customers in China by making quick response to their needs and offering prompt delivery.
